WHITE entra nel programma delle sfilate milanesi, ospitando il fashion show di HENRIK VIBSKOV. Il designer scandinavo, noto ai principali buyer internazionali per la liason con il gruppo milanese Twentyfourseven (247showroom), crea collezioni moda in armonia con l’universo che le circonda. Vibskov è anche il batterista della band che accompagna Trentemøller ed espone le sue installazioni in musei d’arte e gallerie di tutto il mondo. Ad oggi Vibskov ha firmato, dal 2001, sedici collezioni, a partire dal 2001. Ha cominciato a lavorare nel settore delle arti visive in Danimarca, per poi esporre in Francia, Germania e in Giappone prima di consacrarsi esclusivamente alla moda. Si aggiudica il premio Smirnott International nel 1996 e comincia a lavorare per l’insegna Danse Bruuns Bazaar prima di riprendere gli studi. Dopo un corso alla scuola di design e della moda Hillevi Van Deurs di Copenhagen, studia alla Central Saint Martins di Londra dove si diploma nel 2001. Prima del termine dei suoi studi, la stampa parla gia’ del suo stile audace, colorato ed elettrico. Vibskov fa furore nelle boutiques più importanti nel mondo come Colette a Parigi, The Pineal Eye a Londra, Midwest a Tokyo e Traffik a Mosca. Da allora, con il suo stile grafico e anticonformista, Henrik Vibskov è una presenza illustre dei catwalk internazionali. Lo show del 22 settembre porterà a Milano lo spirito eclettico e innovativo dell’artista scandinavo, ricalcando le atmosfere sognanti e scenografiche delle sfilate di Copenaghen.
WHITE entered the Milan fashion calendar hosting the HENRIK VIBSKOVshow. The Scandinavian designer, well known to the best International buyers for his representation by the Milan –based Twentyfourseven (247showroom), creates fashion collections while characterising the universe which surrounds them. Vibskov is also the drummer of electro-star –musician Trentemøller, and has been showing his art works in some of the best exhibitions and museums around the world. Nowadays, Vibskov can be considered as one of the most outstanding fashion designers, with a sixteen-collection curriculum (the first starting in 2001). Before starting-up his own fashion brand, the Danish designer Henrik Vibskov started to work on visual arts in Denmark, France, Germany and Japan. He won the Smirnott International in 1996 and started working for the Danish Bruuns Bazaar. He then went back to school, first at Copenhagen Hillevi Van Deurs and then to London Central Saint Martin, where he received a degree in the summer of 2001. He was still attending Saint Martin when the International press started talking about his “audacious, colourful and electric” style. The first stores to buy his collection were Colette in Paris, The Pineal Eye in London, Midwest Tokyo and Traffik in Moskow. From that first season, his graphic and unconventional design has boggled the Fashion weeks of Paris (only Scandinavian fashion designer on-calendar) and Copenhagen. The first Milan show, on September the 22nd, brought to Italy the eclectic and innovative soul of the artist-designer, along with the dreamy scenographies of his catwalks.
