Special Installation | Che cosa è digitale e che cosa è naturale? Dov’è il confine tra natura artificiale e tessuto digitale? Dove termina un tessuto di essere digitale per diventare una forma naturale? Come si usa una fibra naturale affinchè diventi una rete artificiale? La fibra naturale può diventare la materia principale per le reti digitali? Tante domande, tante risposte. Tutte studiate per dare la forma ad un abito reale. Gli studenti del Triennio di Fashion Design e del Biennio di Design del Tessuto e dei Materiali si sono misurati con lo studio e la creazione di campioni di tessuto realizzati con fibre naturali per diventare elementi di una forma indossabile che si trasformano a loro volta in un formato digitale. Le due metodologie si fonderanno all’interno di un allestimento curato dagli studenti del Triennio di Design.

Special Installation | What is digital and what is natural? Where is the border between artificial nature and digital textile? At which point a fabric stops being digital to become a natural form? How do you use a natural fibre so that it becomes artificial net? Could natural fibre become the main material for digital networks? Many questions, many answers, all pointed out to create a real piece of clothing. Students from the Three-year BA in Fashion Design together with those from the Two-year MA in Fabrics and Materials Design measured themselves with the project and creation of fabric samples made of natural fibres to become wearable elements to be at their turn changed into a digital format. The two methods will merge in the set designed by the students of the Design Three-year BA.
