Quadra è nata nel 2003: un’idea di UGO GHEZZI, imprenditore nel settore dell’energia “rinnovabile” che, sostenuto dai figli CRISTINA E MARCO, decide di acquistare una piccola cantina che ristruttura completamente. Il progetto viticolo della famiglia Ghezzi era già stato avviato all’inizio degli anni ’90 con l’impianto dei primi vigneti di Chardonnay e Pinot nero in località Marzaghette di Adro dando vita all’omonima azienda agricola. Tra il 1999 e il 2004, la proprietà si ingrandisce ulteriormente. Nel 2009 l’acquisizione di uno storico vigneto (la Palazzina) porta la superficie aziendale agli attuali 42 ettari. Le uve, selezionate manualmente, vengono vinificate in modo da valorizzarne l’eterogenea origine. Le vigne spaziano, infatti, dalla storica località di S. EUSEBIO, a Cologne, sede della cantina, sino ad un esteso appezzamento prospiciente il lago d’Iseo, tra Cremignane e Clusane. Oggi, a circa 20 anni dall’avvio del progetto viticolo, raggiunta la maggiore età, Quadra ha trovato la propria identità sia in ambito locale che nazionale. MARIO FALCETTI dirige l’azienda affiancato nella gestione della produzione dal perito agrario Sergio Gatti e dall’enologa Antonia Tancredi. Contemporaneamente la commercializzazione in Italia è stata affidata al GRUPPO MEREGALLI, azienda leader nella distribuzione di vini e distillati di qualità e sono stati aperti nuovi mercati all’estero.
Quadra was born in 2003: an idea of UGO GHEZZI, manager in the field of renewable energy who, supported by his children CRISTINA and MARCO, decides to purchase a small wine shop and to restore it completely. The vine-growing project of the Ghezzi family had already been started at the beginning of the 1990s with the implantation of the first Chardonnay and Pinot noir vineyards in Marzaghette di Adro, thus establishing the homonymous farm. Between 1999 and 2004, the property further expands. In 2009, a historic Vineyard is acquired (la Palazzina) and the total surface amounts to 42 hectares. Grapes, which are manually selected, enhance their heterogeneous origin. The vines actually stretch from S. EUSEBIO, in Cologne, where the wine shop has its seat, to a large plot of land facing the Iseo Lake, between Cremignane and Clusane. Today, after about 20 years from the starting of the project, Quadra has found its own identity both at local and national level. MARIO FALCETTI runs the farm supported in the production management by land surveyor Sergio Gatti and wine expert Antonia Tancredi. At the same time, marketing throughout Italy is managed by GRUPPO MEREGALLI, a leading company in the distribution of quality wines and spirits. Plus, new markets have been opened abroad.
