12SS collection of D.GNAK draws inspiration from embracing the relaxed, carefree aesthetics of “nomads”. Rather than mixing too much into one outfit by layering, which may be too heavy for Spring/Summer, the collection focuses on developing realistic and wearable wardrobes that express nomadic nature of loose silhouette and worn-out characteristics from long journey. Tailored jacket has slit-cut lapel, and jersey pants has a checkered patch on back-pockets. Double-breasted buttons are closed with a band that fills the ripped holes on the front. Collar-less shirts has patched shoulder sheds with wrinkles and slightly grimy prints around torso. Every piece has subtle but definitely interesting idea of nomadic fashion. Fabrics and colors of the collection are the reminiscent of travelling through North African deserts or Ancient Asian plateau, distant from urban daily lives. Cotton, linen and light/cool wool are the fabrics of choice. Light beige, warm grey, and khaki make up the main colors, with royal blue, prussian blue and scarlet red as point colors

Debutto italiano per lo stilista coreano Dong-Giu-Kang, che dal 2006 firma una collezione menswear con etichetta DGnak.
Le nuove proposte della primavera –estate 2012 si ispirano allo stile rilassato di un uomo sempre in viaggio, un giovane nomade contemporaneo vestito con abiti dalla silhouette décontracté. Un guardaroba razionale, fatto di pezzi facili da indossare, trattati con tecniche che ne accentuano il sapore used. L’ head piece della stagione è la giacca bespoke con i rever segnati da un taglio-fessura come segno grafico. Tra le proposte più sportive le magliette patch con stampe dirty, indossate sui pantaloni di cotone dalla linea morbida e l’aspetto used.
I colori della collezione sono caldi e speziati o declinano il blu e l’azzurro in una gamma di palette eleganti e luminose.

Italian debut for the Korean designer Dong-Giu-Kang, who since 2006 has been signing a menswear collection branded DGnak.
The new spring-summer 2012 proposals are inspired by the relaxed style of a traveller, a young contemporary nomad wearing décontracté outfits. A rational wardrobe, made of easy-to-wear pieces, treated with techniques that highlight the well-worn look. The season head piece is the bespoke jacket whose revers are marked by a cutting as a graphic sign.
Among sporty proposals, T-shirts with dirty effect printings are paired to cotton trousers featuring a soft line and a well-worn look.
The colours of the collection are warm and spicy and they propose a palette of elegant and bright shades of blue and azure tones.
