Il nome di uno dei protagonisti dell’edizione di WHITE gennaio 2012 ha in sé molti significati, Rainbow Wave indica infatti un’onda di stelle nascenti così come l’arco multicolore ne raffigura visivamente il concetto. Non si può dire quindi che lo showroom inglese creato otto anni fa da Maria Lemos sia a corto di contenuti, tutti i suoi talenti si caratterizzano infatti per le grandi capacità artigianali e lo stile nelle loro creazioni, sei di loro saranno presenti a White gennaio 2012 in via Tortona 27 a Milano. Londra si sa, ha sempre un occhio di riguardo per tutto ciò che è alternativo, l’Inghilterra storicamente ha sempre dato vita a movimenti che hanno un pò sconvolto il corso della storia, regalando al mondo un bel pò di vivacità. Rainbow Wave eredita dall’ambiente in cui è stato creato la capacità di scovare il nuovo, proponendolo per la prima volta in un contesto internazionale come White Fashion Show. Non dimentichiamo che White da quest’anno parlerà americano e cinese grazie alla collaborazione con Enk NY, queste nuove presenze a Milano catalizzano il meglio del mercato internazionale, riportando nuovi nomi nella sede italiana e mondiale.
La moda cambia, il mercato assume nuove forme e così le scelte vertono sempre più su un linguaggio unico che possa rappresentare uno stile più cosmopolita possibile. Ecco uno dei motivi per cui il salone si è affiancato allo showroom inglese, con l’intenzione di creare un nuovo orizzonte di talenti che abbiano vetrine uniche, punti di riferimento precisi. Non sono mancate le creazioni grunge-chic della stilista Raquel Allegra che in un solo outfit ha creato memorie dark dai materiali di alta manifattura e linee minimal. Così come il romantico si sposa al marchio Tucker che, nell’esplosione delle cromie e delle texture, ha presentato una collezione sofisticata e squisitamente femminile. Per dare una visione più ampia di stile White ha scelto le avveniristiche collezioni della stilista danese Camilla Skovgaard, che nell’interruzione delle linee in un astrattismo quasi kandiskijano, ribalta il concetto formale della calzatura trasformandolo in protagonista del vestire. Abbiamo visto pelli, altezze da amazzone moderna che hanno trasformato le scarpe attraverso materiali solitamente affiancati ad altre forme, in un percorso molto personale che ha risuonato già nei guardaroba dei trendsetter più acclamati. White sorprende ancora, l’Italia si muove affiancando l’Europa in proposte sempre più legate sotto un denominatore comune: qualità e novità.

Rainbow Wave inherits the ability to seek out the new from the environment in which it was created, showing it for the first time in an international context as the one of the White Fashion Show. Do not forget that from this year onwards White will speak American and Chinese thanks to the cooperation with Enk NY; These new presences in Milan catalyze the best of the international market, bringing new names in the Italian headquarters and worldwide.
Fashion changes, the market takes on new forms, and so choices relate more and more on a single language that can represent the most cosmopolitan style possible.
That’s one reason why the White show joined the English showroom, with the intention to create a new horizon of talents with their unique showcases, and specific points of reference. Among others, there were the grunge-chic creations of fashion designer Raquel Allegra, who in one outfit creates dark memories with materials of high workmanship and minimal lines. Just as the romantic style is all one with the Tucker label in the explosion of colours and textures, and featured a sophisticated and exquisitely feminine collection.
To give a broader view of style White has chosen the futuristic collections of Danish designer Camilla Skovgaard, who reversed the formal concept of shoes turning it into the protagonist of dressing and featuring an interruption of the lines in an almost abstract Kandinsky style. Among others we will find leathers, heights of the modern horsewoman that transform shoes through materials usually combined to other forms, in a very personal path that is already a musthave in the wardrobes of the most acclaimed trendsetters. White still surprises, Italy moves alongside Europe with new proposals increasingly linked under a common denominator: quality and innovation.
